He was on the Board of Directors of Glaxo, UK and has held important positions in Bristol Myers Squibb Inc, USA, Pfizer Inc, USA and Abbott Laboratories Inc, USA.He was until recently Chairman of Pharming NV, one of the fastest growing Biotechnology companies based in Netherlands and USA.
