Mr Sathiyanaryananan (Sathiya) joined Stellence Pharmscience Limited (SPL) in early 2011 as Manager - R&D. He has over 16 years of progressively increasing experience in the Synthetic Chemistry domain from his early days as a Chemist to supervisory and managerial positions in reputed companies, including SANMAR SPECIALITY CHEMICALS LIMITED, CHENNAI as Executive Officer - R&D and lately as Group Leader in M/S. PIRAMAL HEALTHCARE LIMITED, CHENNAI.
Sathiya has been awarded Exceptional Performance Award and The Manthan Award for cost reduction in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) process at Piramal Healthcare Limited every year for five years. He has profound knowledge in ISO 9000-2008, 5S practices and has worked in a well managed SAP environment. Sathiya has considerable proficiency in the field of Synthetic Scheme Designing for Target Molecules and has substantial noteworthy exposure in handling versatile reactions. In addition, he has the ideal skill set to interpret IR, Mass, 13C, proton NMR, chromatographic data from HPLC, GC, wet chemistry analysis etc.
At SPL he has been taking up additional responsibilities and as Head of the Research and Development team in advancing API process development, custom synthesis, transfer of technology for commercialization and troubleshooting scale-up issues.
